Description

In an "interesting" part of Toronto, I found this in someone's garbage pile..as is..didn't touch a thing...

Same field trip to Toronto that "Triangular Dominance", and "Pillars of Strength" were taken on..

A profitable trip for sure...if you recall I mentioned there was a story to that trip and it revolves around this image

Grade 11..school bus to the city...must meet bus back at certain time and place.. my firends were more interested in shopping than taking pics, so I headed out on my own..got caught up in everything..was running to make it back to the bus on time..(oh had like 5 blocks to go) I see this up a side street...take a quick snapshot..keep running..but a little voice inside commands me to go back..so I did..and consciously crossed the point of no return ...grabbed this shot..

Luckily I knew my way around the city and how to get back home with the train system..and had enough money..it caused a huge drama on the bus..as students tried to keep the bus from leaving without me.. anyways my teacher was pissed..then he saw this :)

This shot is amazing... perfect. The subject, lighting and detail is perfect. I love the kinda blank smirk on the manichans face, yet distorted and decayed appearance, lucky shot, and it was well worth it. I think this is my favorite image of yours.

It's amazing what people have in their houses... lol This is such a strange piece, but nevertheless, wonderful the way you captured it. Love the black and white and the details.

This is awesome Peter. My congratulations. My first thoughts are of C-3PO when I saw this old and broken mannequin. But then, sadly, there are broken people in this world as well. I find this photo to be deep and emotional. It causes me to think.

One of your best!

Hey there Pete,
This is a very good one, a bit surrealist, a bit sad.
Great shot, you are getting better and better!

This is definitely a great shot but as I saw it, another shot popped up in my head (okay, I admit it, my connection was just loading so slowly) - try cropping everything below the chin, it might come out interesting.

Goodness. What a great eye you have. This is so interesting on so many levels, but has such a melancholy feel to it. I'm so glad you kept it b&w, I think it added to the mood greatly. Great shot!

the first time i saw it, i thought it was an photo manipulation, coz it is realy a great shot you did, i almost feel sad for the mannequin, he looks so alone...... just joking, i think...

I'm a sucker for textures and this one is just great. What I like most is the angle, feels like you're watching it nicely hidden in a unknown spot.

excellent and sad photo.

(and it's good that it wasn't taken with a digital camera - it's still visible in shots like this which of them are digit and which are not...)
